Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT II performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.Entity: Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)Worker Type: EmployeeWorker Sub-Type: RegularCost Center: CC ORBG - BBEMC CardiologyPay Rate Type: HourlyPay Grade: Health-21Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Work Shift: Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:Assist the RN with patient data collection.Assist with activities of daily living.Independently perform a variety of basic clinical procedures.Independently perform advanced clinical procedures (identified by unit).Perform routine clerical duties.Assist with nutritional needs.Maintain a safe work environment.Respond to patient and visitor requests.Perform other duties as assigned.Additional Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications:Education: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.Experience:One of the following criteria must be met:· One year of patient care work experience in a health care facility· Certified Nursing Assistant· EMT or Paramedic certification· Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a healthcare related program with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Nursing Fundamentals course at an accredited institution or equivalent training preferredCredentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain.
