Position: Patient Care Tech
nLocation: Temple, TX - Baylor Scott and White Health
nSchedule: Full-time Days
nOpportunities available in: Med/Surg, Neuro, Telemetry, Observation, and Oncology.
nJob Summary
nThe Patient Care Technician handles various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Follows the care plan, considering the patient's age and development stage.
nWhat can you expect to do as a Patient Care Tech?
nnnCollects and records patient data, including vital signs.
n
nnAssists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
n
nnResponds to call lights and conducts regular patient rounds.
n
nnProvides personal hygiene care and assists with patient clean-up.
n
nnAdheres to Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.
n
nnPerforms glucose monitoring and collects specimens as requested.
n
nnWill be required to directly support multiple patients during each shift.
n

nQUALIFICATIONS
nnnEDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
n
nnEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
n
n nCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
nnBasic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
