The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting, often having more patient contact than any other team member, including doctors and nurses.QualificationsJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job RequirementsCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA).1+ years of patient care experience.Experience with patient safety best practices.Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components, such as differentials and call pay, based on role.
