Job TitleOrthopedic Floor Nursing AssistantOrtho is a 32 bed orthopedic floor. We also take med/surg overflow and cardiac overflow. We are a center of excellence with certifications in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacements and Hip Fractures.Compensation/Benefits$14.29-$23.34/hr. depending on previous work experience.Evening differential $1.50/hr.Night differential $1.75/hr.Weekend differential $1.75/hr.Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancementJob SummaryProvides basic patient care.Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.Provides general nursing care and routine treatment/procedures.Facilitates processing of patientsProvides clerical receptionist supportProvides Coordinating SupportPerforms additional duties related to the specific needs of the departmentQualificationsEducation:High School diploma or equivalent GEDCertification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistantExperience:Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistantCurrent certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experienceLicensure/Certification:Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient careCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employmentCertified Nursing Assistant preferredSchedule7a-7pWork ShiftDayPosition TypeRegular Full Time
