Arizona Specialty Hospital provides excellent patient services and the highest level of care, with the overall goal of improving the delivery of healthcare in Maricopa County and beyond. Our singular focus is the state-of-the-art care of musculoskeletal conditions including joint replacement, spine surgery and other reconstructive procedures. Our mission is to provide first-class surgical services for the community in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment; one in which we would be happy to treat our own families.The Patient Care Tech is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.Job Summary:Responsible for helping our surgical patients through their inpatient stay, providing basic care needs, under the direction of a RN.Other general duties as needed by the Manager of the Pre-Op/PACU.Medical Assistant or clinical training preferredKnowledge of patient care charts and patient historiesPatient Interviewing skillsAbility to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocolsKnowledge of patient evaluation proceduresAbility to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture, and EKGAbility to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standardsAbility to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstands principles of aseptic technique and their implementationWhat We OfferHealth, Dental & Vision Coverage401(k) retirement planPaid Time Off (PTO)Company Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramsHealth Savings Account/ Flexible Spending AccountEducation AssistanceAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
