nPosition Overview:
nPerforms routine patient care, support and services in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to support the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.

nEDUCATION:
nnHS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
n nCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
nnnBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
n
nnCNA - Certified Nursing Assistant highly preferred
n
n nSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
nnnProficiency in fundamental patient-care techniques, standard clinical procedures, and routine medical equipment use.
n
nnKnowledge of appropriate emergency care for role (i.e. chest compressions, dialing 911)
n
nnAbility to follow instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
n
nnBasic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
n
nnPossess written and verbal communications skills to explain patient care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
n
nnWell-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
n
nnGeneral knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
n
nnPrioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
n
nnWork independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

nPay Range is $31.85 to $36.61 / hour
nThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
