Patient Care Technician - Methodist Hospital
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time New Hires!
Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care for the personal and comfort needs of the patient.
Units Available:
North 3 Cardiology Shift: Part-Time Nights, Weekends Only
North 4 Cardiology Shifts: Full-Time Nights
Part-Time Nights
Intensive Care Unit Shift: Part-Time Nights
North 5 General & Womens Surgery Shift: Full-Time Nights
North 6 General Surgery Med/Surg Shifts: Full-Time Days
Part-Time Nights, Weekends Only
Powell 4 Stroke/Neuro/Medical Shift:
Full-Time Nights
Powell 5 Stroke/Neuro/Ortho Shifts: Part-Time Days
Part-Time Nights
Younker 5 Med/Surg Shift: Part-Time Nights
Younker 7 Med/Surg Shifst:
Part-Time Nights
Part-Time Nights, Weekends Only
Younker 8 Med/Surg Shift: Full-Time Days
Part-Time Days
**Please note: all shifts may include a weekend and holiday rotation
Shift Differentials: Shift differential of $2.65/hr for hours worked 3pm-7am
Weekend shift differential of $2.50/hr for hours worked between Friday 11pm to Monday 7am

Responsibilities PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Qualifications
Experience: Must be at least 16 years old
Please note: Some positions may require at least 18 years old
License(s)/Certification(s): Successful completion and documentation of one of the following:
CNA Certification preferred
Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification
Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire
Minimum Experience: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided
