nSUMMARY:
nProvides direct or indirect patient care in accordance with treatment plans as determined/delegated by a licensed nurse or RN. Assists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the patient care unit, being flexible meeting patient and/or unit needs.
nRESPONSIBILITIES:
nnnProvide direct patient care & indirect activities to facilitate unit functioning.
n
nnParticipates as a member of the care delivery team.
n
nnProvide safe and competent care for patients with relationship to nutritional, skin integrity, elimination & hygiene needs including bathing, grooming and changing bed linens.
n
nnTake patient vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and pain level.
n
nnDemonstrate excellent communication skills, compassion and any other kind of support needed for the patient and patient family members.
n
nnDemonstrates exceptional communication with the members of the care delivery team modeling teamwork for other team members.
n
nnAssist with ambulation, feeding, transferring or lifting of patients.
n
nnAssist with the admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
n
nnMay also perform clerical duties including transcription & maintenance of patient charts.
n
nnAssists patient with mobility, such as sitting, standing, and walking.
n
nn(Cath lab only) - Stocks rooms, may handle meds, sharps and syringes on the OR field.

n nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
nnMinimum age requirement: 18
n nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
nnnCompletion of one of the following: Nursing Fundamentals, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, experience as a medical assistant/technician in a health related facility or participation in a Patient Care Technician training program.

nnAssociates degree

nnExcellent customer service and communication skills.

nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
nModerate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

nThe listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
