Patient Care TechnicianDaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician who is looking to make an exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.Some details about this position:No Dialysis experience is required - health care experience is strongly preferred.9-10 week training program - training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic.Potential to float to various clinicsYou must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays - shift times will start as early as 4:00AM.Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Educate patient on kidney disease.Technician Duties: To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMust be comfortable working around blood and needles and mixing acid or bicarbMust be comfortable working 8-12 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week, flexible in scheduleHealth care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.What We'll Provide:Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, PTO cash out, support for you and your familyPaid training: DaVita offers all new teammates a robust, paid training program to help you gain the right dialysis skills.
