nPatient Care Technicians play a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health. The 3EA team, a 24-bed surgical unit, specializes in post-operative care for patients who have undergone total joint replacement surgery, fractures (both surgical and nonsurgical cases), spine, urology, and outpatient gynecological surgeries, while offering comprehensive education to support optimal recovery at home.

nPatient Care Technician Details
nEssential Job Duties:
nnnCollaborate with RN staff to assess patients' needs and report concerns.
n
nnAssist in developing and modifying care plans, prioritize patient problems, and perform medical tasks.
n
nnProvide patient education, follow policies, respond to emergencies, and act as a patient advocate while respecting rights and confidentiality.
n
nnEvaluate interventions, maintain professionalism, and seek assistance when needed.
n
n nQualifications:
nnnBasic medical knowledge and patient care procedures.
n
nnStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
nnAbility to follow directions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
n
n nLicense/Certification:
nCandidate must have one of the following:
n• Valid Indiana CNA license, or
n• Agree to complete the Union Health PCT Training program upon hire.
n• Must be certified in healthcare provider BLS upon hire.
