Job description
Summary:Functions of the Patient Observer are to provide continuous close monitoring for behavioral management or protective management observation. The following behavioral patients may require a patient observer: suicidal precautions, suspicious/aggressive/threatening behavior, elopement precautions, psychiatric patients, patients under influence of alcohol or other substances.
