Patient RepresentativeThis is a per diem position.Position Summary:The Patient Representative is assigned to administrative duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment.Responsibilities:Answering phonesScheduling appointmentsHandling physician correspondenceResponsible for accurate and timely billingPerform follow up on outstanding accountsCash posting and reconciliationPreparing patient charts for visitsContacting insurance companies for referrals and authorizationsAssisting patients with various needs when not providing direct patient care clinical supportRequirements:High School diploma or GED requiredAssociates degree or completion of a related specialty program in an accredited school is preferred.Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExcellent interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills to enhance population specific service, team collaboration and analytical problem-solvingCan multitask and work efficientlyKnowledge of medical terminology desirableAble to use, maintain and troubleshoot office equipmentPosted Salary Range:USD $21.00 - USD $31.00 /Hr.
