nOutpatient Therapy is growing with an additional location, we are looking for a individual to join our dynamic team in providing excellent customer service to Capital Region patients in a fast paced and positive environment.
nBASIC FUNCTION
nThe Patient Service Associate is responsible for multiple tasks from front-end customer service to back-end charge entry and insurance verification work. Ability to prioritize work duties, multitask, and work in multiple software programs.

n nEssential Duties and Responsibilities
nnnResponsible for registration and scheduling process for complex patients.
n
nnResponsible for updating the system with registration, scheduling and insurance information.
n
nnResponsible for discussing financial obligation and explaining regulatory forms, as well as answering any questions.
n
nnWorks in multiple systems during patient facing interactions and telephone call receipts to complete accurate registration and to support the clinical workflow.
n
nnUnderstands the practice and hospital strategic plan.
n
nnSupports plans, policy and procedures, and initiatives within scope of their departments expectations and role.
n
nnRepresents AMC and supports the ideals and principles of their department, the Practice, the Hospital and the Center.
n

n nQualifications
nnnHigh School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
n
nn2-3 years office experience or one year of related experience in a medical practice - preferred
n
nnExperience using an electronic health record and Microsoft Office a plus.
n
nnExcellent customer service skills.
n
nnAbility to multi-task in a high patient volume unit.
n
nnAbility to learn and utilize resources.
n
nnStrong time management skills.
n
nnAbility to review information and draw appropriate conclusions.
