Medical Assistant / Patient Services Coordinator Low-T – Knoxville$21.00/hour | Part-Time | OnsiteAbout Low-TLow-T is a patient-focused healthcare organization specializing in hormone replacement therapy and wellness services. As part of an established and growing network, our Knoxville clinic provides an opportunity to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience.Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant / Patient Services Coordinator is a dual-role position serving as the first point of contact for patients while also supporting clinical services under the direction of licensed providers. This role blends patient-facing customer service, clinical skills, and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily clinic operations and high-quality care.This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys variety, accountability, and making a direct impact in a patient-centered setting.ScheduleMonday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (2–4 Saturdays per month) Up to 30 hours a week Employees are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to shift start.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Services / Front OfficeGreet and check in patients in a warm, professional mannerExplain insurance benefits, coverage, and out-of-pocket costs clearly and compassionatelyCollect and process patient payments accuratelyAnswer phones, manage messages, and respond to patient communicationsEnter and maintain accurate patient and insurance information in the EHRMaintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk and waiting areaSupport scheduling, administrative tasks, and clinic flowComplete daily cash reconciliation and bank depositsClinical ResponsibilitiesObtain and document vital signs for all patientsPerform phlebotomy and injections independentlyAssist providers with clinical procedures as neededOperate EKG and point-of-care testing equipment per protocolPrepare lab requisitions and patient plans in advanceSupport efficient patient flow, rooming patients within 10–15 minutesClean, stock, and inventory exam rooms dailyComplete all required clinical and operational logsHandle and process patient specimens according to lab protocolsPerform quality control documentation and instrument maintenanceIdentify and report any issues affecting test accuracyQualifications6 months of experience as a back-office medical assistant or completion of an externship in lieu of certification (required)High school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferredStrong patient service, communication, and interpersonal skillsComfortable discussing insurance, billing, and payment options with patientsProficient with electronic health records and Microsoft OfficeHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinicWhy Join Low-TCompetitive pay at $21.00/hourGreat benefits packageOpportunity to be part of a growing healthcare organizationPatient-centered culture focused on quality careCollaborative and supportive clinical environmentStable, full-time schedule with consistent hoursWork Environment & Physical RequirementsOnsite clinical setting with direct patient interactionAbility to stand, sit, and move throughout the clinic dayAbility to lift up to 25 pounds and perform fine motor tasksEqual Opportunity EmployerLow-T provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants and team members and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic.
