Patient TransporterValley Presbyterian HospitalSupport Safe Patient Movement & Care CoordinationAt Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Transport team plays a key role in ensuring patients move safely and efficiently throughout their care journey. We're seeking a dependable and service-oriented Patient Transporter to support patient movement, equipment readiness, and a positive patient experience.What You'll DoTransport patients safely between units and to diagnostic areas (Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, GI Lab, etc.)Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility across all patient populationsEscort patients upon discharge as neededSupport transport of equipment and assist with deliveries as neededMaintain and clean transport equipment including gurneys, wheelchairs, bassinets, and cribsMonitor and maintain oxygen tanks and transport equipment readinessCommunicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and departmentsRespond promptly to pages and transport requestsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupport departmental goals, productivity standards, and service excellenceWhat You BringStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentPhysical ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipmentStrong attention to safety and patient care standardsFlexibility to support different units and assignmentsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAHA BLS certificationAbility to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 daysPreferredPrevious patient transport or hospital experienceWhy VPHMission-driven healthcare organizationCritical role supporting patient flow and care coordinationCollaborative and team-oriented environmentOpportunity to grow within hospital operationsApply today to support patient care and safe transport at VPH.
