Job description
Job TitlePerforms maintenance, repair and installation of both rigid and flexible pavements, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, storm water drainage systems and chain link fences. Performs all other duties, as assigned, to satisfy the operational requirements of the contract.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConstructs, and repairs roads, streets, curbs, surface mats, membranes and other improved areas using paving and surfacing procedures.Inspects pavements for surface, base and sub-base damage or defects.Inspects and repairs storm water drainage systems and chain link fences.Determines material and equipment requirements.Operates construction equipment to finish grade level, slope, and compact construction materials.Performs all other duties as assigned by SupervisorsKnowledge, Experience and Skill RequirementsClass B Florida Driver's license with Air brake EndorsementFlight Line Driving Permit (to be obtained upon hiring)National Agency Check ClearanceAbility to lift up to 50 poundsDemonstrated ability to competently perform operational responsibilities of positionAble to read, write, speak and understand EnglishTeam Player – ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with othersAbility to perform work safely under hazardous conditionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have high school diploma or GEDWork EnvironmentWork may be performed both indoors and outdoors.Outdoor work is subject to extreme temperatures, noise, inclement weather conditions, and other conditions determined by the nature of the job.Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft surfaces, pavement structures and surfaces at variable heights.This job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.This job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.J&J Worldwide Services CBRE Government and Defense Business is thrilled at the opportunity for you to apply to one of our roles.
