Senior Payroll Accountant
Overview
This role supports general accounting operations, collaborating with internal teams and finance leadership to maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of financial activity.
Responsibilities
Daily account reconciliation (bank and GL)
Provide documentation and support for audits, including financial statements.
Assist in preparing tax filings and regulatory reports in a timely manner.
Assist with month and year-end closing and audit.
Process multi-state payroll.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
Perform thorough reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy.
Requirements: 6+ years in accounting with experience processing payroll within a financial services or banking environment.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
Experience in payroll updating employee files to include benefits administration, tracking paid time off, 401K support.
Prior experience in software implementations preferred.
Experience using ADP
Strong communications skills, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling sensitive information.
