Payroll AdministratorA company in Mid-Wilshire is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll operations for both exempt and non-exempt employees. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that will be onsite. As the Payroll Administrator, you are responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and any collective bargaining requirements. The Payroll Administrator will handle a variety of payroll changes and transactions while serving as a reliable resource for employee payroll-related questions.Responsibilities:Process payroll for all employee groups, ensuring accuracy of earnings, hours, deductions, benefit withholdings, and other adjustmentsMaintain and review payroll records to confirm data accuracy before each payroll cycleEnter and update payroll changes such as new hires, rehires, promotions, pay rate changes, bonuses, tax elections, and leaves of absencePrepare and transmit payroll information related to benefits, retirement contributions, tax withholdings, reimbursements, garnishments, and child support ordersReview employee expense reimbursements for compliance with company guidelines and resolve discrepancies as neededRespond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, reimbursements, and payroll policiesSupport payroll compliance by following federal, state, and local regulations, internal procedures, and labor agreement requirements where applicableMaintain organized documentation and records to support audits and internal controlsPartner with internal departments and external providers to resolve payroll issues and ensure timely processingQualificationsExperience supporting payroll for exempt and non-exempt employeesStrong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracyProficiency with payroll systems, spreadsheets, and standard computer applicationsSolid math, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionTeam-oriented with the ability to work independently and take direction from multiple stakeholdersThis is an onsite position in Mid-Wilshire. Hours are Monday - Friday 9- 5PM. Pay is up to $33/hr, based on experience.
