Job DescriptionOur client is a well-established organization looking to identify an experienced Payroll Specialist . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple payroll schedules with accuracy and compliance.
Position Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing of approximately 100 employees , including weekly, bi-monthly, and commission-based payrolls . While car dealership experience is preferred , it is not required for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly, bi-monthly, and commission payrolls for a workforce of approximately 100 employees
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, commissions, deductions, and adjustments
Manage payroll onboarding, including new hire setup, documentation, and system entry
Handle quarterly payroll filings and ensure compliance with state tax requirements
Maintain accurate payroll records and respond to employee payroll inquiries
Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations
Partner with HR and leadership to support payroll audits and reporting needs
Qualifications
Proven experience in payroll processing for multi-pay schedules
Working knowledge of state payroll taxes, quarterly filings, and compliance requirements
Experience with onboarding employees into payroll systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment
Car dealership payroll experience is a plus , but not required
