Human Resources Payroll & Benefits AdministratorFindlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our HR team. This role is responsible for the administration of multi-state payroll and employee benefits programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with demonstrated experience processing multi-state payroll, managing employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with evolving federal, state, and local employment laws. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment, drive process improvements, and provide exceptional support to employees and business partners across multiple locations.Position Summary: The Human Resource Payroll and Benefits Administrator will be responsible for managing and processing multi-state payroll, administering comprehensive employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. The Administrator must maintain a working knowledge of regulations affecting payroll and benefits. The Administrator understands the nuances of payroll compliance across multiple states and can optimize systems and processes as the company grows. The Administrator is able to process timely and accurate payroll, reports, and respond to associates accordingly.Primary ResponsibilitiesAccurately process multi-state payroll (including but not limited to OH, PA, NY, MS) in a timely manner using HRIS.Maintain and audit payroll records, files, and tax documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.Monitor changes in payroll-related legislation and initiate necessary updates to internal processes.Calculate and apply deductions such as garnishments, child support orders, and other wage assignments.Reconcile payroll data with accounting systems; assist in month-end close and payroll-related journal entries.Prepare and distribute required payroll reports and summaries to leadership and finance departments.Respond to payroll inquiries from employees with professionalism and confidentiality.Coordinate year-end processing including W-2s, ACA reporting, and other compliance reporting.Oversee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), COBRA, FMLA, and voluntary benefits.Manage employee enrollments, benefit changes, and terminations within multiple benefit platforms and ensure accuracy of deductions in payroll.Ensure compliance with ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other applicable benefits laws and regulations.Provide clear and timely communications to employees regarding benefit offerings, open enrollment, and eligibility.Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies with carriers and vendors.Assist in the development of benefit-related policies, procedures, and training materials.Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll and benefits.Partner with employees, managers, HR, finance, and other personnel at various locations as necessary.Partner with HR and Finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning activities.Prepare and submit required filings such as PCORI, COBRA notifications, NYFPL, and others as needed.Support internal and external audits related to payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and tax regulations.Familiarity with regulations and practices in OH, NY, PA, MS.Experience with Paycor HRIS or similar payroll platforms required.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.Demonstrate analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred QualificationsCPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or PHR (Professional Human Resource) certification.Prior experience managing payroll and benefits in a multi-state and multi-location environment.BenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceCompany Sponsored 401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and paid holidaysProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesCollaborative team environment and supportive company cultureEEO STATEMENT Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, veteran status, genetic information or any other legally protected category.
