Job description
We’re seeking a Part-Time Payroll & Bookkeeper Specialist to support multiple clients with accurate payroll processing and full‑cycle bookkeeping. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage several client deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process payroll for multiple clients; manage deductions, benefits, and tax compliance.
Maintain general ledger entries, A/P, A/R, and journal entries.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
Handle payroll tax filings, sales tax filings, and year‑end forms (W‑2s, 1099s).
Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with onboarding new clients and setting up accounting/payroll systems.
Required Qualifications Experience in payroll processing and full‑cycle bookkeeping.
Knowledge of bookkeeping basics, payroll laws, and tax compliance.
Proficiency with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) and payroll platforms (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, etc.).
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients independently with high accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
Work Style Comfortable switching between client accounts.
Independent worker with a collaborative mindset.
Strong commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and client service.
