Payroll Clerk - Full TimeAustin, TX 78727OverviewPosition Type Full TimeDescriptionAbout the role:The Payroll Clerk is accountable for overseeing timekeeping information, incorporating a variety of deductions into a periodic payroll, and issuing pay and pay-related information to employees. The Payroll Clerk partners with employees, managers, and internal departments to ensure that time is calculated correctly, and paychecks are issued timely in accordance with hours worked. Additionally, the Payroll Clerk replies to questions from employees regarding their pay and deductions.In this role, your responsibilities will be:Assist employees with payroll questions primarily through email and phone callsProcess employee payments by aggregating payroll data such as timesheets, benefit deductions, and expense reimbursementsGenerate payroll reports for internal use and departmental distributionManage payroll records by reviewing direct deposits, tax withholdings, and benefit informationRecord paycheck details, discrepancies, and payroll adjustmentsCalculate final wage payments in compliance with applicable state lawsPerform other related duties as requiredQualificationsAs a candidate, you must have:Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel (functions such as conditional formulas, vlookup, conversions, textjoin, and formatting)Familiarity with online payroll processing softwareSome college education would be viewed favorably, although a college degree is not requiredSeveral years' experience in a business environment10-key data entry skillsA dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasmExperience or exposure to Paycom is a big plus, but not requiredWe offer:$24.00/hrHealth, Dental, Vision, and 401 (k)Paid Time Off, including Sick/Safe TimeA dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunities for growthSecurity Industry Specialists, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
