Responsibilities include maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.Responsibilities:Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly employee payrollVerify and reconcile payroll data to ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and provide exceptional customer serviceCoordinates with HR to maintain employee records related to payroll, including new hire paperwork, status changes, and termination documentationPrepare payroll reports for management and finance departmentStay up to date on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvementsReview and Audit year end W2'sMonthly payroll liability reconciliationsBackup and support other roles as neededDesired Skills:Demonstrated knowledge of payroll processing and tax lawsAbility to accurately enter and maintain employee data in payroll systemsStrong analytical skills to reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepanciesExcellent communication skills to explain payroll-related issues to employeesFamiliarity with HRIS and payroll-related softwareAbility to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive employee informationAttention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processingFlexibility to adapt to changing regulations and policies related to payrollRequirements:Payroll processing & time keeping experienceFamiliarity with Excel and other Microsoft ApplicationPetersen is proud to be an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer.
