Payroll SpecialistQualifications:Job Specific Core Competencies:Process in-house bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.Prepare annually and quarterly payroll tax fillings.Essential Functions And Responsibilities:The specialist is responsible for maintaining all payroll records.The specialist is responsible for filing federal and state tax payments.The specialist is responsible for maintaining timekeeping software and understanding pay practices and policies.The specialist is responsible for preparing W2 reporting at year end and electronically filing to state and federal agencies.The Payroll Specialist may assist in various accounting matters as needed.Education And Experience Requirements:High school graduate or equivalent required.Associate's degree in Accounting preferred.Minimum two years of in-house payroll experience.Knowledge of FLSAKnowledge of finance and accounting functions.Mandatory Annual EducationKnowledge of Microsoft office programs, with advanced knowledge of excel.Knowledge of timekeeping software specifically UKGSkill in attention to detail.Ability to work independently.Ability to communicate clearly both written and oral.Ability to analyze, detect and solve payroll system problems using above average analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workloadSkills:Required: Excel Some KnowledgePreferred: Customer Service AdvancedBehaviors:Required: Team Player: Works well as a member of a groupRequired: Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityRequired: Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellMotivations:Required: Financial: Inspired to perform well by monetary reimbursementRequired: Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside helpEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
