Payroll Processor Opportunity
Payroll Vault Fort Collins is a locally owned payroll company providing personalized payroll services to small and medium-sized businesses. At Payroll Vault, we're more than a payroll provider. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Payroll Processor who is comfortable working in a high-volume environment, managing multiple client accounts, and providing responsive, personalized service. You will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time across multiple client accounts while helping clients navigate payroll questions, changes, and system needs. You should be comfortable learning and navigating payroll technology, troubleshooting issues, and helping clients through system changes. This role is best suited for someone who can balance accuracy with efficiency and who is comfortable managing a large number of client accounts at the same time.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Process full-cycle payroll for multiple small and medium-sized business clients
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding payroll processing and payroll-related questions
Manage payroll processing across a high-volume client portfolio
Support the transition of client accounts to the iSolved payroll platform
Collect, review, compile, and enter payroll data
Calculate and review payroll deductions, taxes, and other payroll adjustments
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and processing errors
Process new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and employee changes
Maintain accurate employee and payroll records
Prepare and submit W-2 and W-3 forms within required deadlines
Communicate with clients regarding missing information, deadlines, corrections, and payroll changes
Troubleshoot payroll software and client account issues
Manage multiple payroll deadlines and priorities at the same time
What You Need:
At least 3 years of payroll processing experience is strongly required
Experience processing payroll for multiple clients simultaneously required
Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment required
Strong understanding of full-cycle payroll processing required
Ability to manage a large portfolio of client accounts required
Strong computer and payroll software skills required
Ability to work accurately while maintaining a high level of efficiency required
Strong written and verbal client communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with iSolved
Experience managing portfolios of high-volume payroll clients
Experience with prevailing wage calculations, certified payroll reporting, and local wage determinations
APA certification such as CPP or FPC
Bachelor's degree

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $35–$37 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM MT, with up to 1 hour of flexibility (Hybrid option available for CO residents)

What to Expect in the Hiring Process:
