Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Appleton, WI
Duration: Jul 26 - Jul 27
Payrate: $23 hour-$25 hour on w2
Job description: Responsible for processing union payroll, reports, and government taxes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Coordinate with field management staff to collect union new hire paperwork.
Ensure information is complete and accurate, following up on any issues or missing information.
Create union employee record in ERP system, updating employment data or status changes. Ensure severance, termination, and disciplinary forms are reflected appropriately.
Using reports, review field time entry for potential errors in hours, union, pay class, and per diem. Follow up with site teams and address as appropriate prior to payroll processing.
Process weekly union payroll and off-cycle checks in a timely manner by importing time details and validating entries created. Confirm calculation of earnings, deductions, garnishments, union liabilities, and taxes. Ensure paychecks are distributed on time.
Prepare monthly union remittances. Using system reports, calculate amounts and submit payment requests, ensuring reconciliation between liabilities accrued and payments. Match payments with labor details and remit to appropriate funds.
Prepare reports, check for accuracy, and resolve discrepancies as part of business recordkeeping and compliance activities.
Respond to and resolve inquiries related to union employee payroll.
Submit new hire reports to state agencies.
