Job description
Talent Square Advisors has partnered with an established, growing services organization with a multi-site, hourly workforce that includes union-represented employees. The client is in search of a Payroll Specialist to support continued growth and is seeking a hands-on payroll professional to own accurate, compliant payroll operations.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll on a weekly cadence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant administration of full-cycle payroll processes in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Collect and validate time and attendance data
Process payroll and maintain payroll records
Reconcile payroll activity
Support payroll tax filings
Administer deductions and garnishments
Prepare payroll reports for HR, Finance, and leadership
Support employee pay-related inquiries
Process onboarding and offboarding changes
Support leave administration and audits
Administer union payroll requirements and collective bargaining agreement provisions
Support payroll-related compliance obligations
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with employees, managers, HR, Finance, Operations, and union representatives while handling confidential compensation information with sound judgment and discretion.
