Payroll Specialist$29 - $33 Irvine, CAWe are a well-established company with a strong reputation in our market and steady growth ahead. As our headcount grows, we are adding a Payroll Specialist to own the payroll cycle end to end. This is an opportunity to join a stable organization where accuracy and confidentiality are valued and the role carries real ownership.Stable, well-established company with consistent growth and no history of layoffsGrowing headcount and a path toward Payroll Lead or Payroll ManagerPredictable schedule outside of payroll processing daysOwn the payroll cycle end to end instead of supporting one step of itTrusted, high-visibility seat working closely with HR and Finance leadershipThis role processes payroll on a recurring cycle and maintains compliance across all applicable jurisdictions. ResponsibilitiesProcess multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for both hourly and salaried employeesReview and audit timekeeping data, including overtime, PTO, and shift differentialsAdminister garnishments, deductions, benefit elections, and 401(k) contributionsReconcile payroll registers and prepare payroll journal entries for the general ledgerMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour requirementsPrepare and reconcile quarterly and annual filings including W-2sRespond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepanciesSupport audits, workers compensation reporting, and payroll system improvementsMinimum of 3 years of payroll processing experienceMulti-state payroll experienceKnowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulationsExperience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paylocity, or UKGStrong Excel skills and proven discretion with confidential informationHigh school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plusJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
