Payroll SpecialistCowell Steel Structures, LLC, is a growing steel building manufacturing business located in Pottsville, Arkansas. We are seeking a qualified individual to fill a payroll specialist position. The ideal candidate for this position would be initiative-taking, organized and detail oriented. This person will be required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workloads as well as provide administrative support to the accounting supervisor and other team members of the accounting department.Duties:Oversee time and attendance systemInvestigate discrepanciesMaintain and update Employee FilesDOT complianceResponsible for completing monthly closing reportsOrganize and prioritize large volumes of informationAccurately analyze, prepare, and input accounting dataOnboarding new employeesWork with management to resolve grievances and issues related to employeesMaintain compensation and benefits recordsBuild and foster a nurturing work environmentFoster the company culture and employee eventsEnsure employees are aware of company policiesOther duties as needs arisePosition Requirements:Skills Needed:Knowledge of payroll and HR fundamentalsProficiency in MS Office, especially ExcelStrong math skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent data entry skills – experience with ERP systems is a plusEffective written and verbal communication skillsEffective organization and time management skillsAbility to work under pressure in a demanding environmentEducation & Qualifications:Accounting degree or significant payroll experience requiredWord processing, spreadsheets, and other computer abilitiesExperience at a manufacturing facility highly desiredFull-Time/Part-Time: Full-TimeShift: DaysLocation: PottsvilleThis position is currently accepting applications.
