Payroll SpecialistFiberTel is looking for a Payroll Specialist for our Springville, UT market.The Payroll Specialist will assist the payroll administrator in compiling and recording employee time and payroll data, including computing employees' time worked, overtime, and drive time pay. This position will compute and post wages and deductions and prepare paychecks.Pay: $20+, DOEResponsibilitiesAssist with weekly employee payroll processingVerify all overtime hours for applicable employeesAnswer payroll-related issues and questionsCommunicate directly with employees to address paycheck inquiries and resolve errorsRecord payroll data using payroll softwareAudit and verify employee drive timePrepare & submit reports with payroll information to supervisorMaintain knowledge of applicable wage and hour lawsPrepare payroll reports for department managers per requestSupport HR tasks as needed, such as updating employee banking recordsQualificationsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkHigh attention to detailProficiency in MS Office suite, with strong Excel skills for tasks such as data entry, formulas, and report buildingExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalData entry experienceExcellent organizational and time management skills1-2 years' experience processing payroll a plus!Experience processing payroll in the construction industry a plus!BenefitsBenefits Include:Health Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision PlansFlexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings AccountsRetirement Savings Plan (401K) with company matchingShort & Long Term DisabilitySupplemental Life and AD&D InsurancePaid Holidays and VacationCompetitive PayWorking Conditions:This is primarily an office-based position operating in a standard indoor office environment.
