Viceroy's portfolio of hotels and resorts can be found in a diverse array of breathtaking and inspiring locations including Los Cabos, Santa Monica, Chicago, Riviera Maya, Kopaonik, Snowmass, Washington D.C., St. Lucia, and Portugal's Algarve, with a forthcoming resort in Sun Valley, Idaho slated to open in summer 2026.LocationHyatt Centric Santa MonicaOverviewThe PBX Attendant is responsible for answering incoming and outgoing calls using the Viceroy Santa Monica standardsResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities Include:Answer incoming and outgoing callsProcess wake-up calls for guestsCommunicate effectively with all business contactsOperate a console and all peripheral equipmentWork with our property management system H.I.S, and other interfaces as requiredCollaborate with the Concierge, Front Desk, Reservations, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Housekeeping team to ensure a satisfactory experience for all guestsDisplay a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests, patrons, and other colleaguesListen to, and promptly acting to resolve, guest issues and requestsQualificationsSkills/Knowledge Required:Must possess a positive attitudeMust be service orientedMust be a team playerMust be able to multi-taskMust possess good verbal communication skillsMust possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skillsMust have the ability to input data and access information on the computerPhysical Requirements:Must be able to sit at a desk, walk, and stand for up to four (4) hoursMust be able to walk and stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretchMust be able to occasionally lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs.Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as neededRequires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuityQualification Standards:Education: College degree preferred.Experience: 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel preferredLicenses or Certificates: noneGrooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)Viceroy Hotel Group is a leading hotel company that combines desirable location, unique design, destination dining and personalized service that touches the heart and soul of our guests.
