Job DescriptionPosition Overview\ NCommunity health organization in Muskegon Heights, Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Family OR Internal Medicine Physician for an immediate locum to perm opportunity.
\ NThis is an outpatient primary care opportunity serving an underserved patient population with strong clinical and operational support.
\ NPosition Details Specialty: Family/Internal Medicine
\ N Setting: Outpatient Community Health / Primary Care
\ N Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
\ N EMR: EPIC
\ N Volume Expectations:\ N Template capacity: 24–26 patients per day
\ N Typical provider volume: 12–15 patients per day
\ N
Start Date: ASAP
\ N Assignment Length: Initial 3-month locum assignment and permanent conversion
\ N Compensation: Salary dependent on experience
\ N Clinical Scope Provider must be comfortable treating patients across the lifespan, including:
\ N Pediatrics (preferably comfortable seeing all ages but there's flexibility)
\ N Adult and Geriatric patients
\ N Chronic and acute care management
\ N Minor in-house procedures include:
\ N Toenail removals
\ N IUD procedures
Mole removals
\ N Basic office procedures
\ N If Provider is uncomfortable with any of the above that is not a deal breaker
\ N Practice Environment \ N 3 Physicians currently on staff, including the CMO
\ N Multiple APP's currently on-site, physician will be asked to provide oversight to APPs\ N Preferred oversight ratio: 4 APPs to 1 physician
\ N Will consider oversightof 2 APPs
\ N
Dedicated Medical Assistant/RN for each provider
\ N RN Case Managers and Clinic RNs
\ N Medical Phone Assistants handling labs and prior authorizations
\ N In-house pharmacy services
\ N Clinical Pharmacist available for provider consults
\ N Dedicated referrals/scheduling department
\ N Transportation assistance available for patients
\ N On-site security
\ NProvider Flexibility & Support\ N Providers may choose:\ N Daily or weekly admin/charting time
\ N Whether to take a lunchbreak
\ N Preferred patient template structure/workflow
\ N
Credentialing Requirements\ N Credentialing Timeframe:\ N Emergency privileges/immediate processing available
\ N Full credentialing estimated within 1–3 months
\ N
Must be:\ N Board Certified
\ N Clean license and DEA history preferred
\ N Minor malpractice claims may be considered
\ N
Restrictions on license or DEA will not be accepted if current/recent
