PCA/ Nurse Assistant - Green Hospital - Surgical Acute - NightsThis is a full-time, benefit-eligible position working 12-hour night shifts and located at Scripps Green Hospital, Surgical Acute unit. Join our team of Patient Care Assistants in our Surgical Acute department at Scripps Green Hospital San Diego, located in the central coastal community of La Jolla. Scripps Green has been serving San Diego County since 1977 and has several nationally ranked specialty departments. The ideal candidate will be someone who brings a positive energy and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Primary responsibilities will be performing EKGs, taking vitals, patient transport, and assisting patients with activities of daily living. The general duties of the Patient Care Assistant include: Provides excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician Supports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation dutiesRequired Qualifications: One year of recent experience working under the license of a licensed healthcare provider OR current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school OR current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider Preferred Qualifications: CNA certification One-year patient related experience preferredPrimary Location: Central San Diego County-LA JOLLA-SCRIPPS GREEN HOSPITAL Work Locations: SCRIPPS GREEN HOSPITAL 10666 N.
