nDuties & Responsibilities:
nPersonal Care Assistants (PCA)s provide a beneficial service to people who previously cared for themselves and handled basic life functions on their own but now rely on someone else to help them. Skilled and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCA)s have a way of developing a relationship and building trust with people who need their services.. Typical job duties and tasks of a PCA include:
nnnProvides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding guest as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning, providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
n
nnMaintains guest stability by checking vital signs; recording intake and output information.
n
nnProvides guest comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting; answering call lights and requests; reporting observations of the guest to nursing supervisor.
n
nnDocuments actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
n
nnMaintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
n
nnProtects organization's value by keeping guest information confidential.
n
n nQualifications:
nnnHigh school diploma or GED
n
nnGood listening skills
n
nnExcellent customer service, energized individual with compassion for assisting others
n
nnWilling to improve their standing by obtaining the Nurse Assistant certification (C.N.A.). Certification training is paid for by our organization.
n
nn18 years of age or older
n
nnAbility to read, write and speak in English
n
nnBilingual is a plus
n
