Patient Care Technician - Central Resource Team/Float Pool
Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
Position: Patient Care Technician - Central Resource Team/Float Pool
Location: Elmhurst Hospital
Full Time: 36 hour work week
Hours: Day Shift: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm (12 hours) Rotating Holidays/Weekends
What you will do:
The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.
What you will need:
Education: N/A
Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or Basic Life Support
Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
Recent hospital PCT experience at least 6 months
Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
