Valley View Acute Care Day Shift PositionValley View's Acute Care Day shift team is looking for a PCT CNA/MA/EMT to join our team!Eligible for Employee Referral Bonuses…refer a friend and earn $$$Evening/Weekend differentials!This is a Day Shift position working 3 12 hour shifts a week - rotating weekends!Responsibilities:Performs basic patient care according to established procedures under the supervision of staff RN/LPN, including hygiene, nutrition, I&O and vital sign monitoring.Observes patient condition and reports immediately any abnormal symptoms or unusual occurrences.Performs specialized skills after additional training and competency verification.Maintains adequate supplies and participates in upkeep and stocking of unit and patient care areas.Sets up and maintains equipment properly as directed.Provides safe, efficient environment for patients and families.Assists patients, visitors, and families, and either meets requests or communicates requests to appropriate staff memberAssists care providers as appropriate.Assists with clerical duties.Assists with obtaining accurate heights and weights as directed.Performs patient rounding.Assists with implementing and monitoring fall prevention precautions.Qualifications:Completion of Nursing Assistant or equivalent patient care training program and/or past experience preferred.Current BLS certification through American Heart AssociationHigh School Diploma or GED required.Salary Range:$20.00 to $28.87/hour (PCT)Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.$2.25 /hour evening shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 3:00pm-11:30pm$2.25 /hour weekend differential when working 5 or more continuous hours between 7pm on Friday and 7am on Monday.Benefits:Medical, Dental and Vision coverage including coverage for eligible dependentsEmployer paid basic life coverage with buy-up coverage optionsFlexible Spending Account (FSA) for health care and dependent care.Time away from work: paid time off (PTO), paid family and medical leave (inclusive of Colorado FAMLI), Paid Sick/Bereavement Leave under Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), leaves of absence.Tuition Assistance AvailableRetirement Plan 401(a)Retirement Plan 403(b) plans with employer matching contributions.Employee Assistance ProgramEmployee discount on Valley View Medical ServicesEmployee voluntary benefits such as Discounted RFTA bus passes, discounted gym memberships, Corporate Ski passes, free car seat for new Valley View babies born or adopted by Valley View employee(s)Free Use of Sunlight and Aspen SkiCo day passes, based on availability.Loan Repayment:Valley View is a qualifying employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program!Application Submission End Date:This position will be open for a minimum of three days and until a top applicant is identified.About Us:Located between Aspen and Vail, along the Colorado River, Glenwood Springs is a mecca for outdoor adventures in our beautiful mountains.
