nFull and Part-Time Shifts Available (0.3, 0.6, and 0.9)
n12-hour shifts + every third weekend and two holidays per year
nJump into hands-on care for adult and geriatric patients, supporting the RN and LPN with everything from daily routines to admissions and discharges. Help keep things running smoothly with vital tasks like glucose checks, EKGs, and tracking intake & output. You’ll document care in the eMAR, take part in purposeful rounding, and be part of the team that’s always looking to learn, educate, and improve how we do things. nResponsibilities
nnnAssists the registered nurse with the admission assessment by obtaining temperature, respiration, height, weight, pulse and blood pressure. Orients patient to room and unit
n
nnAttends to patient's daily hygiene, including oral care, hair care, baths, peri care, application of glasses, dentures and hearing aids.
n
nnAssists with passing meals, nourishments, water and assists patients as need indicates.
n
nnAcknowledges and meets patients' needs regarding movement and elimination.
n
nnFunctions in day-to-day and emergency situations in accordance with nursing standards and as assigned by the nurse.
n
nnMaintains orderly storage of supplies and assists in accounting for chargeable items.
n
nnDocuments temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weights and diet consumption in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
n
nnPerforms Glucose Point of Care.
n
nnPerforms EKG’s
n
nnApplies telemetry equipment to patients using proper lead placement and discontinues equipment use.
n
n nQualifications
nEducation:
nnSeventy-five (75) Hour Nursing Assistant Course preferred
n nLicensure:
nnCertificate from an approved Nursing Assistant Course is preferred
n nSkills/Abilities:
nnnAbility to exercise good judgment, maintain effective interpersonal relationships and adapt to change.
n
nnAbility to organize work.
n
nnMust demonstrate knowledge and skills required for specialized area of assignment.
n
nnBasic Life Support completion required.
n
nnMust be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients.
n
nnMember of Support Stroke team requiring 2 hours of annual stroke education
n
n
