nUnder the direction of a licensed professional, the Patient Care Technician delivers hands-on patient care and comfort, assists with clinical procedures and technical tasks, and accurately observes, reports, and documents patient status. The role supports safe, efficient unit operations by focusing on personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration, elimination, and prevention of complications, while preparing patients and environments for procedures. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, the PCT provides compassionate, patient- and family-centered support across diverse care settings to promote quality outcomes and a positive experience.

nResponsibilities
nnnPCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
n
nnPossess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
n
nnDemonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
n
nnDemonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
n
nnTeam members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
n
n nQualifications
nLicense(s)/Certification(s):
nnnCNA certification preferred
n
nnMust possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
n
n nOther:
nnnMust be 16 years old or older
n
nnLevel 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently , and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
