PCU RN Requirements
* Active Virginia RN License
* Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
* Current AHA BLS
* Current AHA ACLS
* Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
* COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
* Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
What You'll Do
As a PCU RN with First Choice Nurses, you will provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments. Responsibilities may include:
* Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
* Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
* Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
* Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
* Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
* Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
* Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
* Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
