Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients with accuracy and compassion.
Monitor patient conditions and document vital signs, changes, and interventions.
Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams to develop care plans.
Administer medications and manage IV therapies per protocols.
Identify and elevate safety concerns; participate in safety drills and audits.
Meet performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based coverage plans.
Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Engage in continuous learning to advance clinical skills and specialty knowledge.
Assist in discharge planning and patient and family education.
Maintain on-site presence, ensure timely patient flow and efficient bed utilization.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and report outcomes.
Experience/Qualifications
Registered nurse license valid in the job location.
Proven experience in PCU or acute care nursing.
Accurate vital signs monitoring and documentation in EHR systems.
Administer medications and IV therapies per hospital protocol.
Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians and care teams.
Strong patient safety mindset; active participation in drills and audits.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Discharge planning and patient/family education.
Quality improvement participation with ability to track outcomes.
Capacity management and bed utilization coordination on-site.
