Auxiliary Pay Plan Pay Grade7 Days: 226QualificationsEducation/Certification:High School Diploma or GEDTexas Peace Officer License issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE)Valid Texas driver's licenseIndividual recommended for the position must pay a $46.98 fingerprinting fee by credit card as part of the application process to be considered for employment. (Fee is subject to change.)Special Knowledge/Skills:General knowledge of criminal investigation, police report writing, and criminal lawsTraining and ability to subdue offenders, including use of firearms and handcuffsBonded as required by Texas Education Code 37.081(h)Ability to pass required physical, psychiatric, and drug testsAbility to work well with youth and adultsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to communicate effectivelyPossess strong organizational and time management skillsExperience:Experience in law enforcement or related work experience
