Job description

Job Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist to join our growing team. Candidates should have a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.

Key Job Responsibilities

Participate in and lead clinical research in allergy/immunology related areas collaboratively with other faculty.

Engage in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health, working collegially with other faculty members.

Provide outpatient clinical care for pediatric patients with allergic diseases, asthma, positive newborn SCID screens, inborn errors of immunity, and inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the American Family Children’s Hospital.

Participate in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department.

Department

School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology. The Department of Pediatrics has over 230 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions and has been ranked among the Top 20 pediatrics departments receiving NIH funding. The Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology provides state‑of‑the‑art care to children with immune‑mediated disorders and supports integrated clinical and research training in pediatric and adult allergy and immunology.

Compensation

Negotiable, 12 month.

Required Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics or equivalent by the appointment start date.

Board certified or board eligible in Allergy‑Immunology through the American Board of Allergy‑Immunology by the appointment start date.

Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Allergy‑Immunology by the appointment start date.

Completion of an ACGME‑approved pediatric residency program.

Wisconsin medical license by the appointment start date.

Eligibility for enrollment as a billing provider and all necessary hospital privileges by the appointment start date.

Preferred Qualifications

For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS or CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment.

Education

MD, DO, or equivalent is required.
