Job Requirements: Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, is seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our growing pediatric anesthesia team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of surgical and procedural specialties.
Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology and fellowship trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology. We are seeking physicians who demonstrate clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety, education, and family-centered care. Job Description: We offer competitive compensation, including a pediatric anesthesia differential, with recent salary restructuring. Call is from home, with a guaranteed post-call day off.
Our comprehensive benefits package includes 56 days of annual time off (20 annual leave, 12 sick, 10 CME, 1 education day, and 13 holidays), tuition assistance, malpractice coverage, and a pension or optional retirement plan with excellent matching.
We practice in a collaborative care-team model alongside CRNAs, AAs, pediatric anesthesia fellows, and anesthesia residents. Our team performs approximately 6,000 pediatric anesthetics annually across general surgery, ENT, thoracic, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, and plastics.
Our robust out-of-OR practice continues to expand, including MRI, neuroangiography, interventional radiology, CT, PET, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, and proton beam therapy. Clinical resources include a 45-bed Level IV NICU, 20-bed PICU, and ECMO-certified facility.
