The

Department of Anesthesiology at Albany Medical College

is seeking fellowship-trained

Pediatric Anesthesiologists

at all ranks to join our team of dedicated pediatric anesthesia faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, academically focused environment within the Capital Regions only academic medical center.

About the Role

Pediatric anesthesiologists at Albany Medical College provide perioperative care for a wide range of surgical specialties, including:

General pediatric surgery

Orthopedics

ENT

Urology

Cardiac Surger

Select neonatal and complex congenital cases

Our practice includes both healthy children and medically complex patients, with opportunities to participate in anesthesia care for pediatric patients outside of the main operating room (e.g., MRI, interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization)

NEWLY APPROVED PAY PLAN!

Competitive base salary range:

Assistant Professor range $491,000-575,000

Associate Professor $503,000-589,000

Professor $515,000-603,000

Work within flexible staffing pattern within 40-hr work week

Call and No Call tracks available

Plenty of additional opportunities for extra call and overtime pay

Annual bonus of 5% of base salary

Generous sign on bonus of $45,000 and relocation up to $7500

Responsibilities

* Clinical Care - Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.

* Education - Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.

* Research - Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.

* Collaboration - Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.

* Mentorship - Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.

Qualifications

* MD or DO degree (or equivalent)

* Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency

* Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required)

* Eligible for New York State medical licensure

* Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABA
