Nursing Attendant OpportunityTransform their lives – and your own! Ditmas Children's Nursing & Rehab as the first pediatric skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY is looking for compassionate, certified, and highly engaged Nursing Attendants to assist with caring for children with healthcare needs. This job is responsible for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) i.e providing hygiene, assist with feeding, fixing/organizing clothing & personal belonging, playing with children, assisting with family needs & visitation, transporting to other areas of the facility and other healthcare activities on a daily basis i.e. suctioning, tracheoatomy care, etc. Night shift available.Minimum qualifications and skills:High school graduate or equivalentState certification as a Nursing attendant is a mustCompletion of nursing attendant program is a mustTwo years experience working with pediatric population is preferredComputer literacy, Math skills, good communication skills are a mustAbility to handle, lift, pull, and push heavy objects is a mustKnowledged of infection prevention is a mustKnowledge of child abuse prevention is a mustWork rotation on weekends and holidays is a mustBenefits: After 90 days of full-time employment401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceCompensation: Competitive compensation ranges from $17-$22 per hour.If you are a qualified and caring CNA looking for an enriching opportunity to contribute to the well-being of pediatric patients, we encourage you to apply.
