Pediatric Dental AssistantWe are a growing pediatric dental office committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and their families. Our practices focus on creating a positive, fun, and safe environment while delivering exceptional clinical care.Position OverviewThe Pediatric Dental Assistant supports the clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring an efficient and comfortable experience for children and their families. This role requires a friendly, energetic, and patient-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced pediatric environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental proceduresPrepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient careTake and record dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with state regulationsEnsure proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followedComfort and guide pediatric patients, creating a positive experienceProvide chairside assistance including suctioning, instrument transfer, and chartingEducate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment careMaintain accurate patient records and documentationSupport office flow by preparing rooms and turning over operatories efficientlyAssist with inventory management and stocking of clinical suppliesFollow all OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies and proceduresQualificationsPrior dental assisting experience preferred (pediatric experience a plus)Dental Assistant certification as required by stateX-ray certification (if applicable by state)CPR/BLS certification preferredExperience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWhat We're Looking ForPassion for working with childrenPositive, upbeat, and patient demeanorStrong attention to detail and organizationTeam player with a willingness to learn and growAbility to multitask and adapt in a dynamic clinical setting$24 - $28 an hour
