Pediatric Dental AssistantWe're looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team! Candidates without prior dental experience will not be considered.All inquiries will be kept strictly confidential.Job TasksPrepared and arranged needed tools and instruments for scheduled procedures.Handed necessary tools and equipment to the dentist and provided assistance during treatment.Performing prophylaxis, administering fluoride treatmentsRecorded findings, changed barriers, or sterilized equipment.Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresTaking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)Asking about the patient's medical historyHelping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatmentProviding patients with instructions for oral care or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computerCommunicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)RequirementsFULL TIME - 38-40 HOURS / WEEK MINIMUMSCHEDULE: TBD upon completion of interview and hireLOCATION: Pembroke Pines and PlantationBilingual speaker is a plus (both English/ Spanish)Multi-tasker with attention to detail.Outgoing/positive attitude.
