Pediatric Dentist

Growing clinic in Chicago hiring for a board certified Pediatric Dentist to join their dental clinic

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Provide preventative and restorative dental care to infants, children, and adolescents, including patients with special healthcare needs

Diagnose and treat oral diseases, developmental conditions, and trauma specific to pediatric patients

Administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia in accordance with state regulations and MRHC protocols

Perform pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, space maintenance, extractions, and composite restorations

Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene, nutrition, growth and development, and preventive care

Work collaboratively with other dental providers, hygienists, medical providers, and administrative staff

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation

Ensure compliance with infection control standards, HIPAA, OSHA, and Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach as needed

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

DDS or DMD from a CODA‑accredited dental school

Completion of a CODA‑accredited Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program

Active and unrestricted Illinois state dental license

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Dentistry

Valid DEA and Controlled Substance licenses for Illinois

Malpractice insurance (or eligibility to obtain)

CPR/BLS (PALS preferred) certification

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pediatric dental setting (preferred)

Excellent communication skills with children and caregivers

Commitment to providing trauma‑informed, equitable care to diverse communities
