Hematology/Oncology Physician Jobs - Local Per Diem Coverage in Cumberland, Maryland Join a collaborative inpatient oncology team as a board-certified Hematology/Oncology Physician providing weekday rounding and scheduled on-call coverage in Western Maryland. This local per diem physician opportunity is ideal for a doctor experienced in oncology consultations, inpatient hematology/oncology care, and continuity of care across weekday and weekend coverage.

Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Details Position Type: Local per diem physician coverage Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Location: Cumberland, Maryland Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,970-$8,250 Start Date: December 1, 2026 Shift: 8-hour daytime shifts, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; weekday and weekend call coverage Shift Duration: 8-hour days Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. followed by night call; 24-hour call coverage Saturday and Sunday Patient Care Focus: Inpatient oncology rounding and hematology/oncology consultations Procedures: None required Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Requirements MD or DO degree Board certification in Hematology and Oncology required At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology practice Ability to provide inpatient rounding and respond to hematology/oncology consultations Ability to participate in weekday, nighttime, and weekend call coverage Active, unrestricted medical license and required credentials to practice in Maryland Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Physician Responsibilities Round on hospitalized oncology patients during scheduled weekday hours Evaluate and manage inpatient hematology/oncology conditions Respond to inpatient consultations and provide timely clinical recommendations Provide night, weekend, and 24-hour call coverage according to the posted schedule Coordinate care with hospital-based clinicians and other members of the patient care team Document assessments, treatment plans, consultations, and follow-up recommendations accurately Apply now to join this focused inpatient hematology/oncology team in Cumberland, Maryland.
