n nResponsibilities
nThe Department of Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin and Albert Lea, Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible pediatrician/pediatric hospitalist to join a physician-led organization in a community practice.
nThe scope of the inpatient pediatrician/pediatric hospitalist duties include:
nnn9 shifts per month (1.0 FTE)
n
nnDirect care of admitted pediatric patients within the hospital (approximately 75-100 pediatric admissions annually)
n
nnCoverage of the Level 1 Nursery (approximately 650 births annually)
n
nnPediatric nurse phone triage available
n
nnEpic EHR, connected across all Mayo Clinic sites
n
nnConsultations with colleagues on pediatric patients from within the region (clinic or hospital-based)
n
nnPrecepting and direct teaching of students
n
nnParticipation in ongoing clinical quality and research opportunities
n
nnCitizenship and advancement of the inpatient pediatrician/pediatric hospitalist practice

nCandidates must be board certified / board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics and be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Minnesota.

nCompensation Detail
nThe minimum starting salary for hospital-based specialties may range from $217,500 to $533,750. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
